Deportation Defense

If you or a loved one has been placed in removal proceedings, you should consult an attorney in order to explore all available legal options. This is especially so owing to the complexity of federal immigration laws and regulations.

Matt may be able to represent you in Immigration Court and throughout the removal process. He works with clients whose cases come before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Many of Matt's cases are referred to him from other lawyers and from former clients.

Visas

If you need help obtaining a visa to come to the United States, or if you would like to legally extend your time here, working with an attorney can make the process easier. Attorney Matthew Nickson works with clients throughout the application processes.

  • Adjustment of Status for spouses and children of U.S. Citizens
  • Family visas - parents, children, brothers and sisters of U.S. Citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents
  • Fiancé visas
  • Student visas
  • Employment based visas (H1-B and L)
  • Special immigrant visas (religious workers)

Naturalization and Green Cards

Matthew also works with clients who seek to become citizens and permanent residents of the United States. Naturalization hinges upon a variety of factors, including age, residency, physical presence and attachment to the U.S. Constitution.

If you are interested in becoming a citizen, Matthew may be able to help you, if you otherwise qualify.
